At Divinely Guided Movement, the safety and well-being of all children participating in our Chakradance sessions are our top priorities. This Health & Safety Policy outlines the procedures and guidelines in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
1. Supervision & Instructor Responsibility
- All sessions will be conducted by a qualified and experienced Chakradance instructor.
- Children will be supervised at all times during the session.
- A register will be taken at the start of each class to ensure all participants are accounted for.
2. Medical Conditions & Emergencies
- Parents/guardians must disclose any medical conditions, allergies, injuries, or special needs on the enrolment form.
- If a child requires medication (e.g., inhaler, EpiPen), parents must inform the instructor and ensure it is accessible.
- In case of an emergency, first aid will be administered by a certified instructor, and emergency contacts will be notified immediately.
3. Hygiene & Cleanliness
- Mats and equipment will be cleaned and sanitized regularly.
- Children are encouraged to bring their own Chakradance mats and water bottles.
- Hand hygiene will be promoted before and after sessions.
4. Safe Practice & Injury Prevention
- As it states in there, each class starts and finishes with meditation.
- Children will be guided on safe movements, and adjustments will be made to accommodate individual needs.
- The instructor reserves the right to stop a child’s participation if they are engaging in unsafe behavior.
- Each session will start and finish with mediations.
5. Behavior& Respect
- Children are expected to follow the instructor’s guidance and respect others in the class.
- Any disruptive or unsafe behavior will be addressed, and parents may be contacted if necessary.
6. Venue Safety & Accessibility
- The Chakradance space will be inspected regularly to ensure it is safe and free from hazards.
- Fire exits and emergency procedures will be clearly communicated.
- Parents/guardians must drop off and pick up their children promptly at the designated area.
7. Illness & Sickness Policy
- If a child is unwell, they should not attend the session to prevent the spread of illness.
- If a child becomes ill during a session, parents will be contacted immediately for pickup.
- Missed sessions due to illness can be transferred to the next available class.
8. COVID-19 & Contagious Illnesses (If applicable)
- We follow government health guidelines regarding COVID-19 and other contagious illnesses.
- If required, social distancing and hygiene measures will be implemented.
